There is nothing written anywhere that says that work is beneficial to a human being. I'm not against UBI, I just don't see how it can be done. It seems fundamentally impossible to finance at scale, which all of these experiments ignore. They are always experiments where a tiny number of people get money generated by a vast majority of people. Which we have already, in the form of needs-based welfare.
