- BLKNSLVR 1y agoLast half-sentence is the only valuable take-away: "a trade war of attrition is a loser for both countries" Neither side can "win", those not actively participating can't win either. It's a lose-lose-lose. Elephants and grass and all that.
- ZeroGravitas 1y agoThat's the standard take on generic trade wars. Trump's trade war is so chaotic and self-defeating China has a good chance of "winning", not just in the sense of doing better relative to the US, but of actual absolute improvement as people move towards China for stability.
