Warning, pedantic-ness ahead: Both parties + press + voters have been super comfortable with the Exec branch using EOs to expand it's power (ex:Reagan,EO12333). It seems to be driven by 'We like it when our guy does things'. I counter with (or try to): Not holding a reasonable PotUS accountable gifts power to the unreasonable one that follows. I don't think P+P+V understand this, however. Most disheartening is the decades of press apathy - because holding the powerful to account it is their actual, constitutionally-protected day job.
