Even if you accept the premise, what does it matter? AI are not humans. Laws were made up by people at a specific time for a specific purpose. Obviously our existing laws are "designed" around human limitations. As for future laws, it's just a matter of who is powerful and persuasive enough to push through their vision of the future.
