This is probably better when you're young. I'm in my 40s and it takes me some time to get over being squashed in a small seat on a plane with a bunch of other people. I won't even travel on low-cost airlines anymore because my experience has been so horrible. However, I used to do this all the time when I was in my 20s. I lived in Asia for awhile and would frequently take cheap flights on the weekend for fun.
