Show HN: A Twitter bot that writes a haiku a day about U.S. news
I built a Twitter bot yesterday that reads the news and posts a haiku every morning. There's no business model, but I had a good laugh about it. Maybe someone here will appreciate it too.
- mattbrewsbytes 1y agoWhat "news" source(s) do you use? I hope it isn't sourcing content from social media as "news".
- fogmind 1y agoIt uses news from Reuters and similar press agencies. Unless those sources their news from social media we should be good.
- mattbrewsbytes 1y agoDid you see the fake tweet by a satire account claiming tariffs were put on hold? The "media" picked up on that and broadcast it and there were visible reactions when looking at stock charts. I think news does pick up things from social media, regularly.
- fogmind 1y agoI saw that too. I laughed about it for a second and moved on. It paints a bleak picture for the quality of journalism. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that.
