- belorn 1y agoPolitical data analytics firm Crowdpac (https://www.crowdpac.com/about https://www.crowdpac.com/about). The data I randomly looked at was reported from https://www.thecornellreview.org/cornell-is-4th-most-liberal-college-as-measured-by-faculty-political-donations/ https://www.thecornellreview.org/cornell-is-4th-most-liberal... It is always hard to measure political affiliations by organizations. If you think they are wrong and that Cornell should be defined as a conservative university, or neither, I would read that. Do you? As for how it relate to the question, the political affiliation of universities are a known factor when account for research bias in studies. While the findings are usually not incorrect, as a matter of fact, results has a tendency to align with political views. A part of the theory that explains why such bias exist is that universities/countries tend to fund research which align with their view of the world. Meta studies that compare findings from different countries often has to account for this when trying to make sense of conflicting results, especially when comparing US vs China. You also get this effect when comparing results from different time periods.
