I did door to door sales for a while and came to a similar place. It wasn't that I was expecting to make a wage on a commission job, its that during the training portion I was expected to comp my sales back to the company and then on top of that, my trainer put his name down on my sales anyway. Ultimately I learned that they handed new people territory that had been walked twice already in the previous 2 months. The whole hierarchy of the business was designed to suck value out of new starters, and the winning move was to just drop it and leave.
