I think Microsoft has more consistent quality across a variety of hardware than Linux does. After all, they've put money into it, it's in the interest of hardware companies to support their brand of hardware with all its intricacies and driver compatibilities and what not.
- fl3tch 14y agoYeah, but if they had no choice but to use Linux, they would make sure their hardware worked with it. Can't really compare to the past, when Microsoft essentially got a 10 year head start on Linux and was a monopoly by the time it arrived on the scene.
