IIRC in the greater Tokyo area you can't get a permit for a license plate (basically a car) unless you can prove you can park it in a dedicated spot and not on the side of the road.
And parking places definitely aren't American Sized.
- mc3301 2y agoThis is true everywhere in Japan for regular-class cars. Light cars (like kei-trucks... anything with 660cc engine and a yellow plate basically) are exempt.
