Trump threatens 50% additional tariffs to China

- fracus 1y agoI'm not an economist but I'd imagine this will strengthen alliances that don't include the US and will weaken and isolate the US. I don't understand this strategy of theirs. Not only short term damage but the US is demonstrably not a reliable trading partner anymore.

If a system has self-correcting mechanisms it can, hopefully, demonstrate that it can withstand stresses that may arise within or without, and hence show resilience that can be relied upon. One can but hope.
