- orta 14y agoWhilst the site is down at the minute I can only offer conjecture. Basically, people waited so long for TextMate 2 to arrive, when the betas finally did land it was totally underwhelming. Sublime Text 2 had already started to replace TextMate for most Mac developers and finding out that the wait for TextMate 2 probably wasn't worth it probably just made people move over. I know a year ago everyone in my office used TextMate and now none do for pretty much these reasons.
