Even though other manufacturers may not be reporting these numbers, Level 2 ADAS systems are pretty common as far as I can tell. Wouldn't any vehicle with adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist be considered Level 2 ADAS?
- senkora 2y agoI’m not quite sure where the line is between Level 1 and Level 2 ADAS. Wikipedia says this: > ADAS that are considered level 1 are: adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, automatic emergency brake assist, lane-keeping, and lane centering. ADAS that are considered level 2 are: highway assist, autonomous obstacle avoidance, and autonomous parking. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_driver-assistance_system https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_driver-assistance_s... I think that Level 2 requires something more than adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist, but that several automakers have a system available that qualifies. My intuition is that there are more non-Tesla cars sold with Level 2 ADAS, but Tesla drivers probably use the ADAS more often. So I don’t have high confidence what tesla.mult should be. I wish that we had that data.
