I argue a "self hosted" alternative to "Heroku / Netlify / Vercel" is by definition not an alternative to "Heroku / Netlify / Vercel".
- pyb 2y agoNot having to self-host is 80% of the point of these services
- franga2000 2y agoThe main selling point of these is deployment, management and application-first approach. Whether you have to first rent a VPS and curl|bash an installation command is not an important detail for many use-cases.
