I sort of understand the first point, though I don't think they did it on a whim without any "merit." I don't get your second point though, why do you lose respect for them for competing with a product MS hasn't even released? Edit: I saw your post in the other thread where you say more clearly that you think the two are related. I'm still not sure why this is an evil thing to do, or why you're convinced the slamming was 'without merit' but it makes more sense now.
