I completely agree with this assessment. I also keep my editor separated from the AI stuff. The way I talk about it is that using AI completions will create distance from the code. And just like a sports car driver sits close to the car and as low as to the ground as possible, I think of using non-AI editing like seated inside of a low to the ground sports car. While AI coding is floating above the car and controlling the steering with wires.
