Re "Most (normal, not terminally online) conservatives..." Do they still exist? I thought I was one. The Trump movement seems to be made of religious fundamentalists, the techbro accelerationist freak show, and Project 2025 people. It was easy to see it couldn't hold together, but the shocking part is how quickly it crashed everything from alliances to the economy.
