This outcome had nothing to do with Soros and everything to do with the fact that people really hate Elon. Most (normal, not terminally online) conservatives I know want him to go away as well and view his "autistic screeching on twitter" as the reason they lost this election.
And now his threat to fund primary elections against anyone who doesn't blindly support Trump is shown to not only be completely hollow, its worse than that because there's every reason to believe his support is brand-toxic to whomever he supports in a way that far outpaces the money injection he brings.
With this election outcome he's been exposed as a complete lame duck when it comes to being any sort of political kingmaker. And now that he's exposed Trump is very likely to toss him away in the near future like he did with Giuliani or Mike Lindell or any hundreds of people he discarded when their usefulness to him was used up.

The Trump movement seems to be made of religious fundamentalists, the techbro accelerationist freak show, and Project 2025 people. It was easy to see it couldn't hold together, but the shocking part is how quickly it crashed everything from alliances to the economy.
