At least in Chile, it’s common to have 3 months of interest-free payments offered by the banks, and some stores offer up to 24 months for cards issued by certain banks. It really helps with one-off costly purchases, like a new device or some stuff for home/garden. I never miss card payments and keep my finances organized, avoiding purchases I can’t pay off monthly.
