Hetzner root servers get traffic for other machines
- stop50 2y agoTje only time i had problems with wrong traffic were when domain owners didn't update their records for decommissioned servers.
- concerndc1tizen 2y agoHow is this a problem? Every network interface should be treated as public, meaning you must use encryption and firewall rules.
- _vere 2y agoWe have independently confirmed that we are getting traffic designated for other servers on our serverauction root server at hetzner. Pretty sketchy feeling to have this be the case for a hoster on the scale of hetzner.
- doublerabbit 2y agoHetzner is a budget host so what do you expect? The same with OVH and other budget providers. Their aim is to give you a network and a server. And the same network DDoS are launched from. Go with a proper provider, better yet go colo and you won't get such noise.
