Aurora: Maintenance-free, reliable and fast OS, stable like a Chromebook
- mattl 2y agoLooks like the news section on the page is a little too wide, breaking the layout on iOS.
- johng 2y agoI installed a "sister" of this OS on a UTM VM on Mac silicon. They have an LTS release of Bluefin that supports ARM. That OS seems to rely (or heavily use) Brew on Linux and Homebrew on Linux doesn't support ARM. I was a bit disappointed... none of the docs really mention this.
- miles 2y ago> none of the docs really mention this Searching for the sister distro you mentioned, this[1] was one of the first links I stumbled upon, which included a link to the ARM ISO[2] and checksum[3] along with this note: > No homebrew, they don’t have arm builds, we will include Pixi[4] instead, which is a nice package manager built on the popular conda ecosystem - there’s some good stuff in there! - superb_dev 2y agoSo they’re just slapping any old package manager in there? That’s not how you get a cohesive system
