Endor: WASM-Based Servers in the Browser
- ridruejo 2y agoHi! Endor co-founder here. You can easily run MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis and many other server software, all within your browser. You can mix and match generic Linux containers with browser-native Wasm components to create your custom stack. We are just getting started, but it is already quite useful for quickly creating a sandbox for testing. Please give it a try and let us know what you think!
- beardyw 2y agoWhilst I can see what you are trying to do there, I think in the context of a browser the word "server" implies at least a shared data set. Use of that term here just means running software traditionally associated with a server. I don't think the world needs that confusion.
- ridruejo 2y agoThanks for the feedback. It is tricky to define what we do without being super verbose. We also talk about it as “one click dev environments” (the benefit vs the feature I guess) but people don’t necessarily get it either. Any suggestions on how to describe it? What do you mean with shared data sets? Not sure I understand
