This brings up an interesting question of maintainability. Would millions of lines of Java code generated by AI be more maintainable than the previous COBOL code? And if not, what is the point of this exercise?
The arrogance of these guys is breathtaking.
- Smeevy 2y agoDOGE sounds like every bad junior programmer I've known talking about how amazing they are: "I could write this whole thing in Javascript in a weekend." When I hear that, I just want to watch reality sneak up and slap the hubris out of them.
- drweevil 2y agoYeah, I do too. Just don't want to be the collateral damage.
