- xet7 2y agoAt 2024-10-24 RISC OS Direct got: - modern webbrowser Iris - new TCP/IP stack with Wifi - new Python 3 - etc https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/1/topics/19545 https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/1/topics/19545 For other alternative operating systems, question usually is, is there modern webbrowser that can be used for everyday tasks. So this Iris webbrowser is a big step to having a modern enough system.
- sillywalk 2y agoThat is impressive, but what I mean is the cooperative multitasking, as well as the ancient filesystem and the non-standard filetype thing. I believe there is a bounty on for modernizing the storage / filesytem stuff.
