as a former currency trader, common people are horrible at blaming macroeconomic things for idiosyncratic situations
- hn_throwaway_99 2y agoYes, horrible exchange rate. I was going to say you're cherry picking your stats, but it's more like you're cherry picking your conclusion. Just look at a graph of the USD CAD exchange rate over the past 25 years - the current rate looks pretty horrible to me, and while it's been bad before it's currently near the worst it's been in 25 years.
