While rehabilitation may work for some crimes, there are some it probably does not. For example, I think it's likely that you can learn to not steal cars. It's also very likely that you can learn how to not hang out with bad people and get in deadly situations. But how likely is it that you can learn to not be a pedophile? After all, the heart wants what the heart wants.

      Conversion therapy is a tool used by some to try and change a person's sexuality. Since this discussion is about modifying abnormal (read, abhorrent) sexuality, it follows that conversion therapy might be one of the "experimental treatments" mentioned. Claiming it's irrelevant is a weak rebuttal for a logical counter. Got any others?

        It is done to homosexuals as an attempt to make them cis. It has nothing to do with pedophilia. It is basically abuse and nothing else anyway, but as I said it is about homophobia.

    Sexuality isnt a crime and doesn't harm anyone. Actions do. 99.9% of Heterosexual people don't rape just because they are attracted to the opposite sex. Changing heterosexuality isn't the cornerstone of rape prevention. It isn't even part of the picture.
