Weird how the term “jailbreak” has evolved/broadened. I went here thinking this was about OS or DRM cracking.

- thinkingemote 2y agoIf we are talking about terms and how they evolve, is "cracking" the correct word to use here? Maybe "cracking" is appropriate as LLMs develop and gain more access to system tools, networking, etc? It's certainly "bypassing safety mechanisms" of LLMs or at least it was! Currently it seems that jailbreaking refers to a kind of work around a restrictive layer on top of the system
