US automotive tariffs – potential impact by make/model

The 2025 Ioniq 5 has been made in Georgia since October of 2024: https://www.ajc.com/politics/hyundais-georgia-ev-factory-opens-starting-new-chapter-in-auto-manufacturing/QW4LKAPGM5DTFOBHSWRJH2T4WU/ https://www.ajc.com/politics/hyundais-georgia-ev-factory-ope...
- csmithxc 2y agoThank you for this! There were a couple VIN patterns that we missing, and the Ioniq 5 happened to be one of them. The page has been updated to reflect this. Every single VIN pattern has now been accounted for.
- mertleee 2y agoLooks cool, what sources of data are you guys using to derive this insight?
- csmithxc 2y agoWe have a dataset of about 99% of dealership listings out there, and we coupled this with another dataset of World Manufacturer Identifier codes to match vehicles to the country they were assembled in. We figured that current inventory of new 2025/2026 models was a pretty good indicator of potential risk for tariffs on certain make/models.
