I'm not afraid of AI (LLMs). In fact, I think it has many useful applications that will come to light in the next few years. I'm terrified of AI companies. They have no qualms about destroying economies and societies, burning the planet down with carbon emissions, whatever they think will make it more likely for them become the Google or Amazon of AI. They will fuck the rest of us over without a second thought, if it means they might win.
