We have dedicated field separator characters :-/ And all kinds of other weirdness, right in ascii. Vertical tabs, LOL. Put those in filenames on someone else's computer if you want to fuck with them. Linux and its common file systems are terrifyingly permissive in the character set they allow for file names. Nobody uses any of that stuff, though.
