Maybe read the whole abstract before flagging?
Anyway, there’s a pile of evidence that non nutritional sweeteners lead to weight gain by screwing up appetite and hunger regulation, so the study’s conclusion isn’t particularly surprising.
- snvzz 2y agoHunger or not, they definitely cause headaches.
- BugsJustFindMe 2y agoThat's exactly the part I was talking about. I'll repeat myself here so you don't need to go up to the parent comment: > The authors have also somehow still decided that increased hypothalamic blood flow is necessarily connected to hunger when their own finding says otherwise. And now I will repeat the finding that says otherwise: > Sucralose versus water ... produces no difference in hunger ratings. I hope this helps. I also hope it makes you feel bad about missing the barn with your snipe. > Anyway, there’s a pile of evidence that non nutritional sweeteners lead to weight gain by screwing up appetite and hunger regulation, so the study’s conclusion isn’t particularly surprising. I cannot state strongly enough that their reported finding about hunger not increasing relative to water directly contradicts this explanation.
