You have the wrong expectations toward HN :) It's a lot less frustrating if you correct them.
It's the community forum for a US-based, web-heavy startup accelerator, not a "hacker's corner" in terms of the original scene. The priorities and values and interests do differ.
- cube00 2y agoAI heavy now
- raytopia 2y agoAre there any forums more focused on being a "hacker's corner"?
- dylan604 2y agoalt.hackers or something like that maybe? IYKYK
- owebmaster 2y agolobste.rs is way more hacker and technical.
- rchaud 2y agoMore than half of its front page is identical to HN's.
- owebmaster 2y agoOnly when the front page is full of technical content. There you don't see posts like: - Elon Musk's SpaceX Allows Investment from China - We're Still Not Done with Jesus - Angelina Jolie Was Right About Computers
- koakuma-chan 2y agoAny chance you can provide an invite?
- owebmaster 2y agosure, just sent it to the email in your profile
- koakuma-chan 2y agoThanks, appreciate it.
- coffeeling 2y agoThey're also little shitfucks who ban my freaking browser.
- LilBytes 2y agoCan I get an invite too please?
- AndroidKitKat 2y agoSent one to the email in your HN profile. Cheers!
- LilBytes 2y agoThank you x
- rchaud 2y agoStack Overflow. Not a 'forum' per se but is otherwise built around the discussion of browser hacks.
- bergheim 2y agoAgreed. These who would rather use a browser from an Orwellian company are not hackers. They are tools.
