What happened to denying security clearances?

• fastball 2y ago
To be honest, the whole security clearance process has always seemed (to me at least) much closer to McCarthyism/security theater than an effective way to prevent infiltration by actual spies and such.

Have we? What have been the repercussions so far?

        > What have been the repercussions so far? We really have to wait for an American pilot to be shot down, don’t we. Seeing the flames isn’t enough; the house has to burn down.
