If this were stated for many countries it would be cause for concern, and it certainly draws parallels to the US - but Argentina's economy has been a disaster forever, and regularly suffers from huge hyperinflation and government defaults. It seems much easier to justify the argument for radical government cuts and austerity in this environment.
