For me, I enjoy solving complex problems as simply as possible. Also, in my career I've worked with devs for whom the complexity of their solution is a badge of honour.
- keepamovin 2y agoI like that too, but it's pretty hard to do. The best design is when there's no more to take away. Nice ideal, but sometimes I don't have time for aesthetics, I need to hit other aesthetics or ship ha. I try not to take it so far into complex as badge of honor tho - it's mainly about self-respect - I'm gonna be maintaining that code (or someone else is) - I want to be kind to myself.
