> the vehicle features a premium infotainment system powered by a computer chip that can calculate 254 trillion operations per second How do you possibly justify putting 254 teraflops(?) to work for an infotainment system? You can display 1080p video with a mere hundredth of that power. It's not so significant in the big scheme of things, but that sounds to me like the operating system could be less than ideal, and that Mercedes are just throwing silicon at the problem in an attempt to compensate. Hopefully there has just been mix up and that processing power is going towards more gainful activities like automatic lane-keeping.

  Temperatures inside a car can easily reach 140 °F (60 °C), in extreme conditions 80°C.

      The point is that high ambient temperature reduces the amount of heat you can produce before you need heroic efforts at cooling. That said, this does seem mildly absurd.

From a bit of research I think this one is also used for the Level 3 autonomous driving on highways. Compared to Tesla it is actually usefull and you can do other stuff (e.g. read) and it doesn't just hand over to you one second before collision.
