The higher up you go the more important it becomes to make an impact to teams outside the purview of your boss. So I'm not really sure this holds.
- grumpy_coder 2y agoin this context 'your boss' is usually a level or two above your direct manager on org chart Take it as the most senior person you can get regular face time with, this also needs to be gamed.
- guappa 2y agoI thought it went without saying… That's how you get promoted over your boss and become his boss. I've seen it happen.
