US/NATO military equivalents to corporate titles:
Team lead: E5-E6, W1
Manager: E7-E8, O2-O3
Associate Principal: W1-W2
Principal: W3-W4
Senior Principal: W5
Senior Advisor: E9
Associate Director: O4
Director: O5
VP: O6
SVP: O7-O8
COO O9
CEO/Diplomat O10 (4star)
Chairman: O11 (5star)
Conglomerate Chairman: 6star, Pershing
The big difference is that in the military everything above team lead has an internal support staff and planning occurs independently at every level.

These are also the levels where if there is a massive screw-up, you might be the person ousted so there is a fair amount of accountability.
