Same here. The summer I mowed lawns in 1973, I spent all the money on pinball and pizza in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Some of the older pinball machines were still a nickel.
- Isamu 2y agoI have to ask: what did you get for a lawn at that time? My lawn mowing career started maybe five years later but I remember 7 dollars being good pay. On the other hand I mowed some gigantic areas for that pay, and sometimes extremely high grass. That was sometimes hours on very steep ground
- drmpeg 2y agoI can't remember now, but I want to say less than 5 dollars. I do remember that one of my customers with a fairly large lawn paid 2 dollars an hour, which I was very happy with.
