The Hebrew Bible does not proscribe death or any punishment from man for eating pork for Jews (a punishment would come from G-d), and it's not prohibited at all for non-Jews. I'm not sure what other religions with pork prohibitions would do.
- adamtaylor_13 2y agoIndeed. Ritual "uncleanliness" was a problem having to do with Hebrew worship. Being ritually unclean did not result in killing people (except in rare cases, certainly not related to pork); it simply restricted your ability to participate in communal worship.
- o999 2y agoNeither Quran nor Hadith, non-muslims living under Caliphate were allowed to consume pork "Dhimmi communities were also allowed to engage in certain practices that were usually forbidden for the Muslim community, such as the consumption of alcohol and pork." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhimmi https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhimmi Parent comment is hate speech
