That is an interesting analysis but remember when the wework guy destroyed everything, wework was a giant disaster, he never did anything productive, and then VCs gave him stacks of cash to start some new company anyways? [1] I doubt Elon will suffer, he will just find a new grift, or get bailed out by the government he just bought.

- zyx321 2y agoElon is in charge of reducing 'wasteful' government spending. Him gutting NASA and giving their entire budget to SpaceX is a question of 'when' rather than 'if'.
- ergocoder 2y ago> then VCs gave him stacks of cash to start some new company anyways? Because he didn't do anything wrong. His bet failed. And that's kinda it. The VCs are not some idiot innocent people. They bought into his vision and made a calculated bet, which failed. Failed bets in the VC world aren't uncommon. Adam is a world-class negotiator being able to take out the secondary that large. That in itself is legendary. Prop to him on taking out secondaries. More founders should take higher secondaries.
