Hyperbolic much? I don't care much for law enforcement or any product of Israel but I'm not inclined to humor misrepresentation of them either.

This is to help investigators by pre-classifying content, not "hallucinating evidence." If a conversation is nothing but giving directions to a DoorDash driver, it's going to say as much without having to actually go in and read it.
If anything this might help standardize the process. Right now you're subject to arbitrary interpretations.
> “The Fourth Amendment does not permit law enforcement to rummage through data, but only to review information for which there is probable cause. To use an example from the press release, if you have some porch robberies, but no reason to suspect that they are part of a criminal ring, you are not allowed to fish through the data on a hunch, in the hopes of finding something, or ‘just in case.’“
Maybe more problematic here, but you're kidding yourself to think it matters. Only idiots and novices let themselves be ensnared by mental bondage.
There's a reason some jurisdictions force private investigators
into mandatory reporting obligations. You come across shit you didn't intend to all the time, both accidentally and "accidentally."
This is all hoopla over nothing.
If you are an aspiring criminal of any importance, what you SHOULD be fearing is Cellebrite's cloud storage offering for forensic imaging. Between PROMIS/INSLAW, NYPD satellite offices in Tel Aviv and the fact that every American law enforcement agency contracts with Cellebrite, Israeli intelligence is only ever one degree of separation from the digital artifacts of the American criminal underworld.

- retrochameleon 2y agoStrange. For all the AI I use and AI slop I DO see on the internet, this comment does not seem like AI.
- MichaelZuo 2y agoTherefore…? It seems like you want to make some point beyond another opinion.
