Different than gaslighting? One is not with malice?
- johnnyanmac 2y agoGaslighting usually has you believing falsehoods. But yes, a charismatic person can empower you to be a better person on one extreme, or convince you you are worthless that on the other extreme.
- AStonesThrow 2y ago> better person on one extreme, or convince you you are worthless that on the other extreme Or to recast this positively, if humility is a virtue and arrogance/vainglory is deadly, then knowing and accepting that we are powerless/unworthy is perhaps the most important step on the journey to "being a better person". The best leaders are the ones who've learned how to be servants and followers.
