When I started in tech, Freedom was key. You put a value in your freedom to run and modify your code. Over time that has not only regressed to just free to run, but not even that - you have to have permission to run your stuff It’s easier to be a vassal. I won’t say good luck though. Live in favour of the king and you’ll be fine. Until the king does something and you get to kiss his ring.
