Apple should focus on fixing Siri, not redesigning iOS again
- jobgh 2y agoI think everyone knows Apple's rollout of AI features including Siri has been lackluster. No doubt the execs are aware. It's not a case of priorities, but of capabilities https://appleinsider.com/articles/25/03/13/apple-is-lying-about-apple-intelligence-john-gruber-says-and-hes-right https://appleinsider.com/articles/25/03/13/apple-is-lying-ab...

- k310 2y agoIMO, it's always easier to slap a new {feature, shiny object, coat of paint} on something than to fix the problem inside. Especially when you don't really know what's going on inside.
- jkmcf 2y agoApple has the money, but not the will, to improve app features across their entire ecosystem. I'd love some inside baseball on why they make the decisions they do. Siri could have been improved since they bought it, but I'm unsure if they even tried -- the results feel the same as five and ten years ago. If you compare this retro look at Siri from 2010 with the same question now, I get back "I found this on the web" and it lists something from Miami and Milwaukee, as well as Trip Advisor. Edit: I'm in Colorado, and Siri knows where my home is! https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/q1eg86/video_this_is_how_siri_looked_like_back_in_2010_a/ https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/q1eg86/video_this_is...
