I’m wondering why switching Node from OpenSSL to BoringSSL is considered hard? Is the JavaScript API exposing too many implementation details?
- jrpelkonen 2y agoI have no specific knowledge about this case, but I would guess one major reason is that BoringSSL does not provide any API or ABI stability guarantees.
- koakuma-chan 2y agoBun uses BoringSSL. Bun is mostly compatible with Node.
