Rural resentment of cities is as old as the hills. I don’t know what the solution is. Price supports to keep small pharmacies alive? Heavy regulation of e-commerce? I’m no free-market zealot, but it’s hard to see how you blunt this impact in a non-heavy-handed way.
- throwawaysleep 2y agoWait for them to actually care about it. Where I live, rural areas are supposedly desperately short of doctors but the rural people can’t stop whining about them always wanting more money and to not be berated for being brown or gay. Why is a solution needed if the people it supposedly impacts hardly care?
