It might work the first time, but as someone commented elsewhere, people will come back, with the means to defeat/counter it by some means or another. It's pretty stupid to escalate peaceful protest like this, unless you want the conflict to escalate. Maybe that's exactly the intent, to justify extreme response to any escalation by protestors.
- OutOfHere 2y agoMost protestors are so silly that they still don't even wear face shields and gas masks to shield themselves from basic pepper spray or tear gas used by law enforcement. Every obstruction lowers the number of truly prepared protesters. As for protection from weaponized infrasound, it could require a full-body metamaterial shield to deflect all incoming infrasound. And microwaves as we know require a faraday cage to dissipate them, but even then there can be some penetration near the boundary of the cage.
