Hi HN, I’m excited to share ClanPlan, an app designed to help you stay connected with your closest people – family, friends, and classmates – in a private and secure way. With ClanPlan, you can: Create private spaces (clans) – Keep communication within trusted circles. Organize a shared calendar – Track events and important dates together. Share and view pins for important locations – Quickly find and access shared spots. Track real-time locations – See where your clan members are in real-time (with privacy settings). Get notified when someone enters or exits a place – Stay updated without constantly checking the app. Stay connected with real-time chat – No more switching between apps to keep up. I built ClanPlan because existing social apps felt too noisy and public for personal connections. I wanted something focused and private. I’d love to hear your feedback! So, this looks very slicky and feature filled...but where is the data stored? How is it synchronised? Chat, events, schedules, locations, flimsy claims of "privacy-focused" but there are no technical details explaining anything, especially for an app you want me to use with my family, (arguably) the closest people in my life?

  Hi! That’s a great question Data Storage: All user data (including chat, events, locations, and schedules) is stored securely on a cloud-based server. We use cloud provider with encryption both at rest and in transit to protect your data. We don't share any data with 3d parties. We store only latest user's location, not tracking full history. Syncing: Data is synced in real-time using secure WebSocket connections and background updates, so any changes made on one device will reflect on others almost instantly. Privacy and Security: We take privacy seriously. Only people you explicitly add to your clan can see the shared data. All messages and events are encrypted end-to-end where possible, and location sharing is strictly opt-in. Transparency: We’re working on adding a more detailed privacy and security policy to make this even clearer — but I hope this gives you a better sense of how things work under the hood!
