Voilà - there it is
Viola - musical instrument
violé - raped
Accents matter but not as much as different letters. Don't correct spelling without knowing the proper term.
- remram 2y agoI'm literally French. I'm sorry you don't know the passé simple. https://la-conjugaison.nouvelobs.com/du/verbe/violer.php https://la-conjugaison.nouvelobs.com/du/verbe/violer.php
- ipaddr 2y agoil viola isn't voilà. Remove il and it becomes violer. People don't use 3rd person singular. People would say: "Il a violé" (he raped) in past tense. I don't think it is as offensive as parent suggested. "I'm literally French": Welcome brother
- School-Cotton 2y agoConfidently wrong while being a dick to the person who was right. Classic HN.
- ipaddr 2y agoIt's not classic HN unless someone unrelated picks a side randomly and decides to up the ante and personally insult someone and then blame the culture here. I've got news for you, you are part of the culture you pretend to hate.
